Refunds Policy

 

At City Printing Ltd., we strive for perfection.
However, if on receipt of your print consignment you are anything less than delighted with the finished work, please advise us straightaway. Your issue will be investigated urgently and quickly resolved.

 

Where the problem is clearly something that can be attributed to City Printing Ltd., we will immediately reprint the job, send out replacement printing, and recover the defective batch if necessary. In the event that re-printing is not an option, we will instead either recover the defective work if necessary and credit you in full or, where appropriate, negotiate a partial credit to compensate for less than perfect but useable goods.

 

Where the cause of the problem cannot solely be attributed to City Printing Ltd., we will seek to find a compromise remedy with you, either crediting the job in part or re-printing at a reduced cost.

 

Where the problem can be fully attributed to you, since either print ready files were supplied or our files approved for press, City Printing Ltd. will not be able to accept liability in any part.

 

In the unlikely event that a satisfactory resolution cannot be found between us, City Printing Ltd. will accept the resolution recommended by a third party arbiter. The arbiter being an independent third person accepted by us both.

 

Terms & Conditions

 

Print
Every effort will be made to obtain the best possible colour reproduction on customer's work but because of nature of our printing processes, City Printing Ltd shall not be required to guarantee an exact match in colour or texture between the customer's photograph, original, transparency or digitally supplied image & the printed article.

 

Note that there is a distinct difference in print quality between digital printing and litho printing. City Printing Ltd cannot guarantee a like for like print in the event that the customer purchases print from both these different printing methods. Reprints may also differ in colour & texture in litho & digital printing. All our products are subject to availability. In the event that City Printing Ltd is unable to supply the product, City Printing Ltd shall notify the customer as soon as possible & shall reimburse payment in full if required.

 

Design
Designs created by City Printing Ltd will be archived for 2 years. Any designs/artwork provided by the customer may be disposed of 7 days post collection or delivery. Note that any design created by City Printing Ltd will remain the property of City Printing Ltd Any design/artwork transfer to another printer/designer may carry a surcharge in addition to the original design cost. City Printing Ltd cannot guarantee or take any responsibility for not meeting customer’s timings on design. Any photographic/stock image purchases will remain in City Printing Ltd’s archives & can be used in other future designs created by City Printing Ltd.

 

Artwork
Print ready files should be submitted for printing. City Printing Ltd recommend that designs is checked against the following before the customer uploads or sends any file. These requirements will ensure print quality is at its best. Any non print ready files may incur an additional charge.

 

• 3mm bleed
• Crop Marks
• Minimum 300dpi
• Fonts outlined
• File formats should be in PDF, Jpeg, Tiff or EPS
• Ideally text should be 5mm away from inside of the page if being printed digitally & 3mm away if being litho printed.

 

Customer’s Responsibility
Whilst we will make every effort to check, and seek rectification if required, City Printing Ltd is not responsible for ensuring customers design & artwork is correct for printing. This responsibility is with the customer & the person paying for the services. The customer should check & recheck any text, numbers & layouts to ensure the artwork is ok before confirming to proceed to print. City Printing Ltd will not incur liability on errors that may appear on print as a result of the design being incorrect. The customer is liable to pay the full amount as quoted in these circumstances. It is the customer's responsibility to gain approval to reproduce pictures, artwork, photos and logos. City Printing Ltd is not liable to any claim & any dispute between the customer & prosecutor as a result of this.

 

Payment
For non account customers, payments should be made in full at time of order. City Printing Ltd accepts all major credit card payments & all payments are secure. Cash payments are accepted when ordering at our office. Cheque payments are accepted by post. Please allow 4 to 5 days for cheques to clear before print production starts. Confirmation of payment will be made in the form of an invoice which will be emailed to the customer or as a receipt if payment is made in the studio. Any design or print produced by City Printing Ltd will remain our property until full payment for them is received.

 

Print Confirmation
Confirmation of the print order is subject to sight of artwork & full payment being received. This means City Printing Ltd will check the customer’s artwork to ensure the quote is in line with the print ready artwork. An email confirmation (status confirmed) will be emailed to confirm receipt of artwork & payment. This will be accompanied with an invoice. It is at this stage that City Printing Ltd has accepted the order & is ready to proceed to print.

 

Deliveries
City Printing Ltd will deliver to UK mainland addresses using direct or overnight couriers or next day delivery Business Post,. Goods despatched on Friday will be scheduled for delivery on Monday. Delivery can take place anytime between 9am & 5.30pm Monday to Friday & be charged as per your request.

 

Despatch will take place between 1pm & 4pm Monday to Friday. Any urgent orders received after this time maybe despatched via Special Delivery with a surcharge.

 

A despatch date can be confirmed at the time of placing the order full payment being received.

 

The customer should be available on the day of delivery. On some occasions when no one is available to accept the goods:

 

  • Delivery may be left with a neighbour – the delivering company will leave a note to confirm this.
  • Delivery may be taken back to the depot or local sorting office for the recipient to collect – the delivering company will leave a note to confirm this.
  • Any re-delivery will be charged at the original delivery charge rate.

 

City Printing Ltd will endeavour to meet deadlines, however completion & delivery dates cannot be guaranteed. Note that City Printing Ltd will not be liable or responsible for any delay in delivery caused by events outside our reasonable control. It is recommended that the customer leaves plenty of time for delivery to avoid disappointment. Events outside our control include; strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action. Civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war. Fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster. Impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport. Impossibility of the use of public or private telecommunications networks. The acts, decrees, legislation, regulations or restrictions of any government. In these events, the contract between City Printing Ltd & the client/recipient of goods will be deemed suspended.

 

Estimates
Estimates are based on City Printing Ltd’s current costs of production and quotes are applicable for 30 days. City Printing Ltd reserve the right to change prices thereafter if production has not commenced. Charges will be applied with prior notification & agreement to work which is not supplied print ready.

 

VAT
Print & delivery is usually vatable. On most occasions flyers, leaflets, booklets & magazines are zero VAT rated. For further information, please visit www.hmrc.gov.uk

 

Privacy Policy
City Printing Ltd will not disclose buyers’ information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

 

Cancellation
The customer can cancel the order subject to the artwork not being processed to print production. Cancellation can also take place whilst in print production if being printed digitally. In this case, City Printing Ltd will refund the difference that has not been printed at City Printing Ltd’s discretion.
